Well, we have begun our 2nd Nine-Weeks, and your kids have been doing great! Please review this week's newsletter because there is very important information regarding Red Ribbon Week, Report Cards, and plans for the week. We will be needing pumpkins for a Halloween activity this Friday! If you can send a pumpkin by Wednesday, please let me know (firstname.lastname@example.org). We will need a total of 18 pumpkins for all 3 classes. Also, if any of you subscribe to the newspaper, I will be needing A LOT of newspaper to cover the desks for our activity. IT WILL BE VERY MESSY!! Anything you can send will be appreciated! Let us know if you have any questions about anything......We're looking to a GREAT 2nd Nine-
It's hard to believe that we have almost completed the first nine-weeks of school! Your kids have already shown so much progress. Don't forget Open House is tonight (10/4) from 5:00 - 6:30. Come see what your child has been doing!! We look forward to seeing you!! :)
Attached is next week's newsletter. There is a lot of important information regarding upcoming events, etc. Please pay attention to the Open House date. Our date is different than the original date of September 26th. This is due to the fact that Mrs. Green will not be available on that date.
We are having a great week so far! Attached is this week's newsletter. Let us know if you have any questions.
Also, students, we would like for you to respond to the following questions as a comment:
1. What have you liked about school so far?
2. What are some goals that you have for this year?
3. What are you most excited about this year?
Remember, do not leave a comment with your first and last name. Only use your first name and last initial! We can't wait to see what you have to say!!
Your child's take home folder should have come home on Friday along with some graded papers, next week's newsletter, and a new current events assignment with a schedule of your child's assigned date. I have told students that if they made a 69% or below on any assignment to have a parent sign and return it on Monday. If I don't receive the papers back next week, I will contact parents. The newsletter will be posted on our blog Monday, so if you need to access it during the day, you can just pull it up. As far as the current events, the assignment sheet gives all of the specifics. Make sure your child keeps up with his/her assigned date. If any of these things did not make it home, you might want to ask your child. Also, please let me know if you have any questions about anything. Thanks for sharing your children with me!! ~ Mrs. Green
We would like to welcome Mrs. Dana Harmon as our new 5th grade teacher! We are happy that she has decided to join the GES family, and we're extra excited that she's going to be joining our team! Mrs. Harmon will be teaching the Reading for our team, as well as her homeroom's Social Studies and Language. Please join us in welcoming her to our school. We know it's going to be a GREAT year!!
We have had a great couple of weeks! Attached is next week's newsletter. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
